Ben brings a unique blend of hands-on craftsmanship, technical engineering experience, and a deep respect for natural materials to his work at Tempo. Specializing in finish carpentry, custom cabinetry, and structural remodels, he thrives on creating spaces that are both functional and beautiful—designed to support real daily life with warmth and intention.
His foundation in building began early: working in a woodshop as a kid, apprenticing with his father (a designer and craftsman), and learning the fundamentals of materials at a lumberyard in high school. After a decade spent working as an arborist and on framing and remodeling crews—while also leading mountain expeditions and rock climbing courses—Ben shifted gears to earn a degree in environmental engineering. He became a licensed Professional Engineer in 2016 and spent seven years managing complex environmental remediation projects.
In 2018, Ben returned to building through projects for his own family, rediscovering a passion for design, craft, and the tangible impact of well-made spaces. His collaboration with Daniel and Karl began with custom cabinetry builds in 2022 and quickly evolved into a full-time partnership rooted in shared values, mutual respect, and a deep commitment to quality.
